Land and site · Civil works on site · site-19Set out the buildings and systems
Transfer the plan onto the ground with pegs and string lines, so foundations, tanks, the array and the septic field are built exactly where designed and at the right distances.
How
- Have the surveyor set reference points and a benchmark (known elevation) that will not be disturbed.
- Peg out building corners and check diagonals are equal so the building is square.
- Set profile boards outside the dig area so lines can be restored after excavation.
- Peg septic tank, dispersal field, well and tank locations, and re-measure the separation distances from site-11 on the ground.
- Peg array rows with the orientation chosen in site-5.
