Review the project and keep permits current

After you move in, a short review captures lessons and keeps the estate legal as you expand.

How

1. Compare final costs with the cost plan and note where estimates were wrong.
2. Record what the contingency was spent on.
3. Before each later phase, repeat the permit checks: rules and code editions change.
4. Renew any licences or registrations that expire (for example water abstraction licences or system registrations).
5. Update the house file whenever you change or add a system.
