Part 3 · Equip it and live in it

Daily living

This module shows what everyday life on an off-grid estate is really like and how to keep every system running. It covers a trial run before you commit, daily energy and water budgeting, safe food storage and preservation, a master maintenance calendar, spare parts, skills to learn, record keeping and a calm troubleshooting order for when something fails.

Why it matters

Most off-grid systems fail through habits, not hardware: batteries drained by heavy loads at night, tanks run dry because nobody read the gauge, canned food stored too warm. The house is only as reliable as the routines of the people living in it. Getting daily life right protects your investment, your health and your family's enjoyment of the place.
